CMS’s newest HHVBP schedule puts the preliminary October 2026 Interim Performance Report in iQIES on November 12—not in October. It will be the first IPR scored with the CY 2026 measure set; the final report is scheduled for December 23.
That measure set adds improvement in bathing, upper-body dressing and lower-body dressing, plus Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary–Post-Acute Care. CMS says IPRs are the official source for Model scoring and urges provider organizations to review them against internal reports.
DomAfina’s take: lock down iQIES access now, assign one owner to every new measure, and reconcile the CMS report to OASIS, claims and survey data as soon as it lands. A December surprise is still a surprise—just with less time to fix the workflow behind it.
Source reviewed: CMS: June 2026 Expanded HHVBP Model newsletter. The source supports the reported update; the operational recommendations are DomAfina’s analysis.
